“I’m not sure where to even start with this, but I wanted to write this while it’s still fresh. Niblack Events (along with some others) made my wedding dreams come true. I truly cannot express how happy I am thanks to them. Doug and Anne Niblack are some of the most talented, kind, warm, and fun people to ever walk this earth. We started planning our wedding over a year ago. I am a very anxious person. Doug and Anne were so calm and patient with me throughout the entire process. Our venue, the Ruins at the Astor can be very challenging to work in due to there being a lack of back of house space. Literally everything has to be prepared offsite or in a a tent in the parking lot. We had talked to another caterer and they made us feel bad about this. NOT NIBLACK! They immediately made us feel at ease with having our wedding at the Ruins. They have so much experience. They know that venue like the back of their hand. They took care of everything. There is nothing they cannot do. We feel so lucky to have come in contact with them. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors and looked like they had fun doing it. No stress at all. As I said before, I am a very anxious person. Leading up to the wedding and ceremony, I would be standing there quietly ‘freaking out’ about nothing and I’d look over and see Doug’s and/or Anne’s faces. They just have this calming presence about them that made me feel like everything was gonna be okay.
Onto the food - okay this food is unreal. This is the best wedding food you’ll ever have. Everything is of the highest quality and was so fresh and warm. Every guest enjoyed it. Niblack is also very sensitive to dietary restrictions. They will accommodate anything. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese. Also their house-made kombuchas are amazing. They also made their very own ice cream sandwiches for us.

To wrap this up…please don’t think twice about hiring Niblack for any/all of your event needs. Especially at the Ruins! I am sad that our wedding is over…but Doug and Anne are just our favorites.
